For example, our mail service is provided by Google for our matric.com.au domain. Google provide multiple MX records, each with varying priorities. The MX record contains the message transfer agent hostname and the priority (order) of each message transfer agent. The lowest priority number has the highest priority when determining the best available mail server to connect to.
